Barbara Cunningham
MCPod Senior Podiatrist
Barbara, a Senior Podiatrist, qualified at the Glasgow School of Chiropody in 1988 and has over 30 years of Podiatry experience. She is registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the College of Podiatry.
Barbara took her first post in 1988 working for the NHS in Peterborough, where she practiced for 10 years before moving to Rugby to raise her young family. She returned to work for the NHS in Daventry in early 2000 and continued to work in both the NHS and private practice for the next 14 years. In 2014 Barbara decided to focus her career entirely in private practice, and contiues to do so today.
Passionate about continuing professional development she is an active member of the local branch of the College of Podiatry. When not working Barbara enjoys spending time with family, friends and pets and also supports local charities. She helps with the Hope 4 winter shelter (providing hot meals and a safe space to sleep for guests who are homeless or poorly housed) and she is also involved with the ‘Gift of Years’ charity (providing care and support for elderly residents in care homes)

Richard Thompson
MSc MCPod Senior Podiatrist
Richard is a Senior Podiatrist with over 20 years experience and has an additional Masters in Sports Injury and Therapy from Manchester University. He is registered with the Health Professions Council and a member of the College of Podiatry. Richard is also certified as an independent prescribing practitioner and is able to administer & inject local anaestetics and prescribe prescription only medicines.
Richard was previously a lecturer in Podiatry at Northampton University and currently lectures in Podiarty at Coventry University. Richard specialises in complex podiatry cases, which often require surgery under anaesthetic and has had clinical Podiatry experience in the NHS at Northampton as well as practicing in private Podiatry clinics.

Megan Hensman
BSc (Hons) MCPod Senior Podiatrist
Megan is a Senior Podiatrist with a degree in podiatry from Northampton University. She is registered with the Health Professions Council and a member of the College of Podiatry. Megan is also certified as an independent prescribing practitioner and is able to administer & inject local anaestetics and prescribe prescription only medicines.
Megan has had specialist training and experience in sports podiatry and also holds a second degree in dance, sport and exerercise science. She has NHS clinical experience in Leicester in a range of Podiatry clinics and currently lectures in Podiatry at Northampton University.
